Full Job Description

Northwest Forklift, Inc. is an authorized dealer for Unicarriers, Linde, Baoli, Princeton, JLG and Capacity Trailer Jockeys. Currently seeking (4) qualified Field Service Technicians to add to our service team. Willing to train candidates for Planned Maintenance repairs. Must be a self-starter Field Service Technician with customer service experience. The primary role of Field Service Technician is to positively contribute to service department success, improve overall customer satisfaction, maximize customer retention and increase profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

  • Tie workflow to schedule

  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks

  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

  • Produce timely and detailed service reports

  • Document daily processes

  • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems

  • Follow all company procedures and protocols

  • Cooperate and communicate with technical team and share information

  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings

  • Manage parts inventory on service truck

  • Build positive relationships with customers

  • Attend training as required

Requirements

  • Proven Field Service experience in I.C. and Electrical Background

  • Diesel knowledge (preferred not required)

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment. Ability to read and understand Hydraulic and Electrical schematics.

  • Must have valid WA driver’s license and a good driving record. Background check and drug test required.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules

  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications ( Basic Computer Skills)

  • Technical degree or certification

  • (3) Years of customer service experience in the field.

  • Must have own basic tools.

  • Bi weekly or Twice monthly

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

  • Signing bonus

Experience:

  • forklift/heavy equipment mechanic: 3 years (Required)

  • Driver's License (Required)
